2019 Womens Coaching Position Availability

2019 Womens Coaching Position Availability

The Los Angeles Dragons Australian Rules Football Club is searching for a new head coach and assistant coach(es) to train and guide the women’s team in 2019 (and beyond).

Since being established in just 2017, the Dragons Women’s team has stormed onto the USAFL scene; earning the D2 Nationals Runner Up title in 2017 and the Women’s Western Regional Championship in 2018.

This couldn’t have been achieved with out the enormous efforts of David “Bonesy” Morrow and Andy Moulden and we both thank and congratulate them for their time at the helm. They’ve left a great legacy behind. Bonesy and Andy have been so helpful and patient with our rookies and veterans. We want to thank you for everything you have done for this team and wish you best of luck in all future endeavors!

However, what we have now is a unique opportunity for new coaching staff to mold the team and develop a mix of experienced players and enthusiastic rookies to grow the game in the states.

The volunteer coaching positions require a commitment during the 2019 season from Spring until the USAFL National Tournament in Sarasota, FL on October 12 & 13, 2019. The coaching staff is encouraged to share the commitment to attend twice-weekly trainings, multiple games, and travel to a few tournaments across the U.S.

Coaching or footy experience is preferred, but more importantly passion for women’s amateur sport is a must!

Please submit a letter of interest, including your coaching and/or footy experience to losangelesdragons@gmail.com by February 28, 2019.LA Dragons Women's Team 2017 National Championships
